AERIAL WORKSHOP

For the month of October, both MCDM locations will be hosting an Aerial Workshop!

MCDM Aerial Workshop includes tips, tricks & skills to work towards your Aerial or mastering your Aerial! We will work on drills & exercises, evolution and mastery of cartwheels, as well as safety and all steps of the Aerial. Must have a strong cartwheel and splits. MCDM is proud to be an Acrobatic Arts Certified Studio.  We use the Acrobatic Arts curriculum specifically designed for Aerial training.

MCDM Aerial Workshops are all of October.  October 2nd-October 30th, 2024.
Wednesdays in Louisburg from 7:30-8:30 and Thursdays in Paola from 7:15-8:15.
$50 for the full workshop – space is limited!  No enrollment fee.

Open to all – they do not need to be a current MCDM student.

*this would also be great for your cheerleader!

Acro Dress code:
All Acro (Tumbling) ONLY classes will go barefoot on mats.  Form fitting activewear, preferably leotards, so that the teacher can see body placement and hair up and out of face please.  Braids or Low Bun is preferred with long hair for this class for safety.  No loose clothing – This is crucial for teachers to be able to spot the student safely and correctly.

BRING A FRIEND WEEK

September 30th-October 4th, 2024
Dance is better with friends!  Students are encouraged to bring a friend to class this week during their regular class time.  Our guests will receive a little thank you gift on their way out.  This is also a great week for anyone to have a free trial class.

STUDENT CHOREOGRAPHY SHOWCASE

Sunday, December 7th, 2025

Coordinated with our Annual Holiday Showcase

@ Paola Community Center

3pm Show (Dress Rehearsal 1pm)

All current MCDM students are welcome to submit their choreography for the show, Ages 8+

Student Choreography Registration (not final product) due by second week of November.

Google Registration form

2:30 minutes or less song length limit, dancer’s choice

Choreography “preview” (rough draft) due 3 weeks prior to present to Miss Lacy (with music and costume)

Any style, solo/duet/trio, must be student’s original choreography, rehearsals are on your own time, choose your own costume, song does NOT need to be holiday themed.
