You are all very special to me, and THE REASON that I continue to work to improve the studio, the teaching staff, and our recitals. I want my dance family to be the first to know some VERY exciting news about The Dance Studio BEFORE anyone else so you can help me spread the word!
The Dance Studio – Louisburg location will have a new address next season!!!
401 South Metcalf Rd., Louisburg
(half of the old Dollar General building)
This will allow us to have more studio space, be on ground floor, have a storefront, have an EVEN floor, AND (my favorite part) build real sprung dance floors! Walls are going up and paint is going on — I can’t wait to see the finished product. We plan to move into the new space in August.
ALSO, The Dance Studio will have a new name next season!!!
MIAMI COUNTY DANCE MOVEMENT (MCDM)
New Name – Same Heart!
I’ve been talking with Raquel Sterba, the previous owner, about how much the studio has grown and how we are developing a unique identity. She was excited to learn about our new studio space and our new name that highlights our location – Miami County – and our strong dancers who perform in many styles – Dance Movement! Just know that, because of rising costume prices, I plan to only raise the price of costumes by $5 next season. OTHER THAN THAT . . . and the news above of course. Nothing else will be changing! And to clarify, the Paola location will have the same address.
We’ll begin the name transition with our Summer Enrollment and will make the official name change announcement at our recital – Saturday, June 6th.

I appreciate the strong start we had at Louisburg Plaza (old high school building) and will miss some aspects and faces of that location.
